"Something I wish I learned about sooner in my skincare journey is def #doublecleansing. If I could, I’d go back and tell my past self that those makeup wipes weren’t cutting it (&to PLS apply SPF ‍♀️). Double-cleansing is a 2 step method that involves first going in with an oil-based cleanser to remove your SPF, makeup, and excess oil, and following up with a water-based cleanser that can remove sweat and other buildup. When I first heard about double-cleansing, DHC’s oil cleansers would always pop up in my searches with their classic yellow bottle. With winter making me crazy dry, I’ve been using the DHC Olive Concentrated Cleansing Oil which has quite a rich texture that you apply on dry skin, massage in, and then add water to emulsify and rinse off. It’s not drying, doesn’t irritate my eyes, and suits my dry skin condition without being too oily or leaving a film. A thorough cleanse, and a nourishing formula!
