Hello, spooky peeps!

As you might remember a few months ago I said that we were going to really try to get back in touch with our brand DNA in terms of the kinds of designs we were creating. For me, when I think back to the early pieces we produced at Black Milk I think dark, and gothic. Lots of black. Edgy as hell.

So that is what we have done! And today I would like to tell you the story of our new gothic inspired collection - The Fallen (Prologue).

It starts with the image below ~ 'The Fall of the Rebel Angels'. This image depicts the rebellious angels of the ancient Enochian tradition who abandoned their heavenly home in search of beautiful women. The artist captures the corrupting of their souls by showing them consumed by demonic animals as they descend ever downward. The beasts without reflecting the beast within. Distorted bodies, yet more twisted souls.

As it is written:

And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the children of the heaven saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us women from among the children of men... And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of the mountain, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual curses upon it.

- 1 Enoch: The Book of the Watchers Chapter 6:1-6

It’s a story of desire, lust, and the descent into madness. Heavenly beings making hellish decisions. How will it end? Well, I don’t want to give too much away but let’s just say… not well.

I look forward to telling you the whole twisted story of The Fallen, but first a little treat for you - the prologue. Twenty-two pieces to light a little spark in your dark soul.

Stay creepy. :)
