Two years ago when my customers told me that no, I would not be closing down PUG because they need stuff to wear, I decided to keep it going, but with conditions: PUG becomes a more private company, catering specifically to the customers that love us, and not spending a moment worrying about or catering to anyone who doesn’t. I also vowed never to disclose or publicize anyone who I worked with, or who was employed by PUG, as in the past, untold problems arose as a result of d...oing that. Persons that became “famous” through their association with PUG weren’t happy with that, and started taking credit for PUG’s successes, to the point that even my own employees started asking “What does Laura do at PUG?” - I guess, they couldn’t see all the dresses on the website?

Anyway, without any exaggeration - I had CPTSD from my experiences at & around PUG and with former & current employees and this was the main reason I was trying to retire in 2019.
When I decided to keep it going, the first person I contacted was @hopejohnstun, and said “Spring 2020 is ON”
I’m breaking my vow to not credit my co workers publicly because one thing the last few years have taught me, is discernment. I may not have known the difference between a professional and an incompetent, and a person who is kind and has my and PUG’s best interests at heart, and who doesn’t - but I do now.
I would be an asshole to not credit @hopejohnstun for everything she has done - the textile designs you see just scratch the surface of her contribution. Thank you Hope, you are the best design partner anyone could ask for ♥️
